What steps must I take to become one of you? Israel Mbonyi asks Kenyans.

Kenyans really do have a way of treating
 celebs
they are besmirched with, something that Rwandan gospel singer Israel Mbonyi found out this past weekend.

Israel was deeply moved by the overwhelming love and support he received from Kenya.

The Nitaamini singer graced the stage this past weekend at the Africa Worship Experience held at the Ulinzi Sports Complex. The event drew thousands of worshippers, including notable religious and political figures.

Mbonyi’s arrival was nothing short of a hero’s welcome, complete with a police escort. His humble and approachable demeanor shone through during a press conference and media interviews, endearing him to even more admirers.

A video from the worship session captured the powerful moment when Kenyans sang along to his hit song Nina Siri, solidifying his growing fan base in the country.

In a heartfelt social media post, Mbonyi expressed his gratitude, saying: “Kenya, your love is so authentic. How do I apply to be one of you?”

Read some of the comments below from impressed Kenyans:

lynnngugi: Your level of patience is very admirable 🙏🙏. Thank you so much for such an amazing performance. Be blessed, and may God guide you in all you do.🙏

celestinendinda: @gertiegee kuja hapa😂😂😂😂😂

winfred51: It’s simple—just marry me and inherit citizenship 😂

vmwaura: When do Kenyans find time to learn these songs, protest, create memes, and still make money?

joe_nyamai:God truly resides in you, bro. The grace, joy, humility, peace, and deep composition of your songs can only come from Him. Man! You are the true embodiment of spirituality! May God preserve you for His glory 🙏🙏.

uchwara_generation: Come to Tanzania, you’ll love it even more ❤️🇹🇿🇹🇿

brilly254: The comment section is full of Kenyans😍😍

lavi_grace7: This is a petition for you to perform in Mombasa ❤️

milka.njenga: You see, we all want to marry you😌. But how about you give me your brother instead, and that way, you become ours and ours alone… Just your brother, please🥺😌☺️🥰🥰.

Mbonyi is following in the footsteps of a Jamaican musician who was so moved by the love and acceptance he received from Kenyans that he became an honorary Kenyan. Kenyans even went as far as creating an ID for him and giving him a Dholuo name.
