Agriculture CS Mutahi Kagwe Calls for Unity in Supporting Ruto’s Government
The newly appointed Cabinet Secretary for Agriculture and Livestock Development, Mutahi Kagwe, has encouraged all Kenyans to unite in support of President William Ruto and his administration for the nation’s development.
In his statement, Kagwe noted that Kenya is currently facing significant challenges, and collective effort is essential to bring the nation back on course. He urged citizens to set aside political differences and collaborate with Ruto in his transformative agenda.
Kagwe expressed his commitment to contributing to the nation building in his new role. “As I humbly assume office, I recognize the challenges ahead.
This presents an opportunity to convert those challenges into possibilities. I will consistently serve with diligence and integrity, adhering to the constitution and prioritizing the interests of the Kenyan people.
“I implore us all to unite, work together, heal, and rebuild our nation, as that embodies true leadership. This marks a New Era, a New Dawn,” he stated.
During his swearing-in ceremony at State House on Friday, President Ruto expressed admiration for Kagwe, praising his clear responses during parliamentary vetting and highlighting his strong grasp of the government’s vision for the ministry. Ruto affirmed his confidence in Kagwe’s leadership and reliance on him to advance the ministry’s goals.
Kagwe succeeds Andrew Karanja, who has been appointed as Kenya’s ambassador to Brazil.
