TSC Blasts Claims of “20,000 Permanent Teacher Jobs” as Fake.

The Teachers Service Commission has raised the alarm after a viral notice claimed the government was recruiting 20,000 teachers on permanent and pensionable terms.

The Commission has dismissed the circulating advertisement as fake, calling it a deliberate attempt to mislead thousands of unemployed teachers desperate for opportunities. In a firm statement, TSC clarified that it has not announced any new mass recruitment drive and urged the public to ignore the false notice.

The commission noted that the document had been crafted to resemble an official communication, complete with falsified dates and misleading instructions, creating confusion among job seekers.

The fake notice has spread rapidly across social media platforms, drawing attention from teachers who have long awaited new vacancies. Many expressed frustration after learning the advertised positions were not real, with some already preparing application documents before the alert was issued.

TSC has cautioned teachers against falling victim to fraudulent recruitment schemes, some of which have previously involved individuals posing as officials and demanding payment in exchange for job placement.

The Commission stressed that all official announcements are only published through its verified platforms, and recruitment is conducted through a transparent, free process that does not require applicants to pay any fees.

The emergence of the fake advertisement comes at a time when schools across the country continue to face teacher shortages, fueling anxiety among job seekers. The Commission has assured the public that any future recruitment will be formally communicated and has encouraged applicants to remain vigilant.

This latest incident has sparked renewed calls for greater scrutiny of online job notices, as well as stronger action against individuals spreading false information aimed at exploiting unemployed teachers.

For now, TSC maintains that the alleged recruitment of 20,000 permanent and pensionable positions is entirely fabricated, urging the public to treat the notice as a scam.
