Tragedy in Uganda! Two Kenyan Politicians Killed in Shocking Road Crash.

A devastating tragedy struck in Uganda as two Kenyan politicians lost their lives in a horrific road accident along the Moroto-Napak highway. The deadly crash, which claimed a total of four lives, unfolded at Tapaach, leaving behind a wreckage of twisted metal and shattered dreams.
The victims, identified as Philemon Lotudo, Elijah Lopuke, Jackson Kariwoi, and Ben Ikong, were traveling in a government-affiliated SUV that was left mangled beyond recognition. Harrowing images from the scene depict the sheer impact of the collision, raising questions about what truly led to the catastrophe.
Kariwoi and Ikong died instantly, while Lotudo succumbed to his injuries while being rushed to the hospital. The fourth victim fought for his life but tragically passed away during treatment.

The political fraternity is reeling from the loss, as one of the deceased had contested the Kapenguria MP seat in 2022, while the other had vied for an MCA position. Lopuke, who was steadily climbing the political ladder, had recently secured the UDA chairmanship in Alale Ward, West Pokot. His untimely death has sent shockwaves through the region.
West Pokot County Commissioner Khaliff Abdullahi confirmed the tragedy, stating that investigations are underway to uncover the exact cause of the fatal accident. Meanwhile, Kenyan and Ugandan authorities swiftly coordinated to repatriate the bodies, which now lie at Cherangany Mortuary in Kitale.
Disturbingly, the politicians were part of a high-profile delegation accompanying Pokot South MP David Pkosing on a cross-border mission between Kenya and Uganda. While fate claimed the lives of some, Sook Ward MCA Martin Komongiro miraculously survived the crash and has been airlifted to Eldoret for urgent specialized treatment.
As the nation mourns, pressing questions linger—was this truly an accident, or is there more to the story?
