The victim, Silvester Mwendwa, a teacher in Kitui East sub-county, was at work. He received the alarming news that his house was being torched. Fortunately, he was unharmed, but the loss of his home and belongings has left him devastated.

Upon arriving at the scene, Mwendwa found that his entire house had been destroyed. He expressed his frustration over the lack of justice.
