Manchester United’s Sofyan Amrabat has expressed his interest in extending his stay at the English club beyond June this year.
Amrabat joined the English giants and the 20 times premier league champions Man United on the summer of 2023 on a season long loan deal from ACF Fiorentina.
The Moroccan has featured in 30 of Red Devils’ games during the 2023/2024 campaign, helping them to be crowned winners of the FA cup, beating their archrivals 2-1 in May.
Amrabat’ s move to United is understood to have included a buy option clause, which would allow Man United to buy the defensive midfielder for $32.2M.
However, United progressing with the deal to sign the 27-year-old permanently remains uncertain, with the club’s co-owners INEOS working to resolve Man United’s managerial situation.
INEOS have been undertaking a review to decide the future of Man United’s head coach, Erik Ten Hag, and sources reveal that it is a 50-50 situation for the Dutch tactician as he could get sacked by the United’s bosses.
Erik Ten Hag saw out a horrific season in charge of the Red Devils during the 2023/24 season, after United finished the EPL on the eighth spot with 60 points, 31 points behind league leaders Manchester City.
