Ramba High Horror! Two Students Die as Septic Tank Collapses

Tragedy struck Ramba High School on Saturday evening when a septic tank suddenly gave way, swallowing two students to their deaths in a horrifying accident.
The victims, who had just returned from an AIDS awareness rally, were reportedly socializing with friends near the structure when disaster struck. In a cruel twist of fate, they stood atop the tank just moments before it crumbled beneath them.
The catastrophe unfolded around 6 PM, sending shockwaves through the school community. As their peers watched in horror, rescue teams—including first responders from the Kenya Red Cross—raced against time to save them. Unfortunately, their efforts came too late.
Rarieda MP Otiende Omollo took to social media, mourning the tragic loss and confirming that an investigation was underway.

“Another devastating tragedy! Two bright young lives lost at Ramba Boys High School after a septic tank collapse. May they rest in peace as we uncover the cause of this heartbreaking incident,” he lamented.
Though several other students narrowly escaped unharmed, two were injured and rushed to the hospital for treatment.
Overnight, rescue workers battled to retrieve the bodies, as grief-stricken parents and concerned citizens took to social media to express their outrage, blaming negligence for the avoidable catastrophe.
Siaya Governor James Orengo extended his condolences to the grieving families, vowing to prioritize student safety across the county. He urged the school community to remain calm as investigations continue.
Disturbingly, this is just one of many tragedies haunting Kenyan schools, with recent years seeing a surge in deadly incidents—including dormitory fires and road accidents.
