Newcastle Joins Chelsea in Shock Move for Bournemouth Star Dean Huijsen!

Newcastle is reportedly preparing to enter the race for Bournemouth defender Dean Huijsen this summer.

The highly-rated centre-back has drawn interest from several top clubs after an impressive Premier League debut season at the Vitality Stadium.

Although Bournemouth is keen to retain the 19-year-old, his contract includes a release clause that will become active at the season’s end, making him a prime target for potential buyers.

According to The Mirror, Newcastle has now joined Chelsea and Bayern Munich in the chase for the Spanish defender, while Juventus still holds a sell-on clause.

Andoni Iraola’s side stands to make a significant profit, having acquired Huijsen from Juventus last summer for an initial £12.6 million.

Strengthening the defense remains a key objective for Newcastle, especially after failing in four attempts to sign Marc Guehi last summer. Their efforts to bring in Manchester City’s Abdukodir Khusanov from Lens this winter also fell through due to financial constraints.

The Magpies have been monitoring Huijsen closely since his standout loan spell at Roma last season.
