Murder Suspect Beaten To Death In Kirinyaga.

Enraged villagers in Mburi village, Njukiini, Gichugu, Kirinyaga County, beat a middle-aged man to death on suspicion of killing the watchman at Mburi Christian Primary School and burying his body in a classroom.

The Mburi village inhabitants, led by the Njukii-ini MCA Timothy Kariuki, said that the suspect first revealed who he was with when they killed the night watchman before the locals lynched him.

“The locals were furious, so I was unable to assist him. Kariuki added, “I attempted in vain to help him during the 11 p.m. event.

The night watchman was allegedly killed on Saturday by the suspect. On Monday morning, children discovered the corpse in the classroom without any pants on.

“These thieves are taking off men’s clothes and hiding in their pants at night in an attempt to get cash in their pockets. “They’re bothering us,” stated Peter Kinyua.

At Mburi Primary School, the 74-year-old watchman’s body was found dead and placed in a classroom on Monday, paralyzing lessons.

When students arrived at school, they discovered the watchman had been left in the classroom without pants. It was really depressing, according to schoolteacher Mary Mwaniki.

Security services are being urged by the people living in Mburi and the nearby communities to take more action against local criminal groups.

“We have taken the law into our hands because when criminals are arrested, they are released by the courts,” stated Joseph Wanjohi.

The suspect’s body was taken to the morgue at Kerugoya Hospital.

Gichugu Sub-County Police Commander Johnson Wachira, who verified the occurrence, cautioned against individuals enforcing the law on their own.
