Machakos Man Digs Own Grave and Plans Funeral

Local administrators in the Kitheuni area of Yatta, Machakos County are arranging counselling services for a man who excavated a grave within his home in anticipation of his alleged imminent death.

Twenty-four-year-old Kamende Ngwili excavated his grave and has reportedly been notifying people to attend his funeral on January 1, 2025.

Residents suspect that the man was considering suicide.
The village elder informed the area assistant chief about the situation on Sunday morning, who then visited the location and counseled the man against such actions.

They also notified local police to assist in organizing counselling services for the man.
