Machakos Man Arrested for Witchcraft After Human Hair, Skin, and Nails Recovered.

A chilling mystery unfolded in Machakos County today when a 55-year-old man was taken into custody after investigators uncovered human hair, skin, and nails hidden among witchcraft paraphernalia—fueling suspicions of ritual involvement in a recent murder probe.

Authorities launched the investigation following the killing of a local woman, which prompted them to trail a suspected accomplice seen near a water tank carrying ritual materials.

Under questioning, that individual implicated the suspect, triggering a raid that revealed a disturbing trove of items including charms, photographs of residents, and other macabre implements.

The suspect, a self-proclaimed preacher, reportedly admitted to using fear and spiritual manipulation to extort money, claiming that people sought him out for supernatural assistance. He now faces charges under laws that prohibit possession of items used for witchcraft with intent to cause fear or harm.

Following legal proceedings, a court ordered the confiscated items to be destroyed. As the case unfolds, investigators are exploring links between these occult materials and the violent death at the heart of the probe.

With Kenyans already anxious about occult influences in society, today’s arrest sounds a warning bell: law enforcement and the public must remain vigilant to protect communities from those who weaponize fear and superstition.
