Gachagua Points Finger at President Ruto Over Alleged Orchestrated Chaos During Party Launch.

Former Deputy President Rigathi Gachagua has sensationally accused President William Ruto of unleashing chaos to sabotage the highly-anticipated unveiling of his new political outfit, the Democracy for Citizens Party (DCP).

The political bombshell dropped Thursday evening as Gachagua, visibly furious, claimed that President Ruto had “lost the people’s faith” and was now “using goons and government machinery” to intimidate his former allies-turned-rivals.

“It’s time he accepts that the people have moved on. I’m no longer part of his political cult,” Gachagua fired, alleging a systematic campaign by the state to frustrate his political re-emergence.

And the claims don’t stop there.Gachagua recounted a chilling timeline of targeted harassment: From being allegedly attacked at a funeral in Limuru, to a sacrilegious assault during a church service in Nyeri, where he says thugs linked to a prominent Mt. Kenya politician physically attacked his wife and worshippers—all while police stood by.

“Ruto’s regime sent a gang leader from the mountains to desecrate a holy altar. My wife was roughed up in a place of prayer. How low can one go?” the ex-Deputy President lamented.

In another startling revelation, Gachagua exposed a December incident in Nyandarua, where law enforcement reportedly hurled tear gas at innocent citizens during a peaceful prayer rally.

Then came the January shocker: masked agents allegedly stormed an office run by his children for years, kicking them out under the protection of armed officers.

The latest confrontation, which unfolded just hours after the DCP launch in Lavington, Nairobi, saw a group of suspected hired thugs block Gachagua’s convoy.

Chaos erupted, prompting police to fire shots in the air to save the former DP from being mobbed by the crowd.Despite the fracas, Interior CS Kipchumba Murkomen downplayed the incident, claiming the scuffle was due to supporters fighting over unpaid handouts.“

Some people didn’t receive the promised tokens, and it sparked a stampede,” Murkomen told journalists, warning politicians to coordinate with police before holding public gatherings.

But Gachagua isn’t buying that narrative.“Don’t insult our intelligence,” he snapped. “The President is hiding behind thugs because he knows he’s lost Mt. Kenya. He should stop clinging to power through fear and force.”
