Gachagua Exposes Betrayal — Still Keeps Ruto’s Photos as Painful Reminder!

Former Deputy President Rigathi Gachagua has exposed the depth of betrayal he feels after being ousted from power—by none other than the man he once fiercely supported: President William Ruto.

In a candid and emotionally charged interview with YouTuber Oga Obina on May 16, 2025, Gachagua revealed that he still has framed photos of Ruto displayed in his home—images taken during their once-solid political alliance. But don’t get it twisted—the photos are not there out of admiration.

“Those photos are a symbol of betrayal,” Gachagua declared. “He used to visit here often—eating our food, sitting in my compound, pleading for support. My wife, Pastor Dorcas, cooked for him countless times. And then he turned around and had me removed like I was nothing.”

Despite being brutally impeached following a fierce political fallout, Gachagua says he deliberately left Ruto’s pictures hanging in plain sight—not to honor a friendship, but as a permanent, visual scar.

“Every time I pass those photos, I remember how a man I helped rise to the presidency stabbed me in the back,” he said with chilling composure. “I want to be reminded every day—never again will I trust so easily.”

Gachagua says Ruto’s alleged betrayal has completely changed how he approaches politics. No more blind loyalty. No more handshake deals.

“I was duped by tears—literally,” he said. “He cried. He prayed with us. I fell for the emotions. But next time? There will be lawyers. Witnesses. Documents.”

He also confessed deep regret over abandoning former President Uhuru Kenyatta, under whom he served loyally for years, admitting he was manipulated into switching sides.

“I left Uhuru for someone who threw me under the bus the minute he had power. It’s a mistake I’ll never repeat.”

As the political storm brews, one thing is clear: Gachagua’s walls may hold pictures—but they also hold pain, betrayal, and a cold warning to anyone seeking his trust.
