Gachagua Accuses Ruto of Plotting Regional Breakup and Vows to Block His Re-election.

In a fiery and dramatic escalation of political warfare, former Deputy President Rigathi Gachagua stormed into Kangema, Murang’a County, dropping explosive allegations against President William Ruto — and leaving no doubt about his mission to derail Ruto’s second term.

Fresh off a jaw-dropping interview that sent ripples across the country, Gachagua took his campaign to the heart of Mt Kenya, claiming the President is orchestrating a sinister plot to fracture the region for political gain.

“We will not be divided — not now, not ever,” Gachagua declared to a roaring crowd, accusing Ruto of masterminding a dangerous divide-and-rule scheme by stoking tensions between Mt Kenya East and Mt Kenya West.

According to Gachagua, Ruto’s inner circle is fueling the narrative to split Central Kenya’s powerhouse counties — Kiambu, Murang’a, and Kirinyaga — a move Gachagua says is meant to dilute the region’s voting strength ahead of the 2027 elections.

The ‘Kasongo’ Plot: A Web of New PartiesUsing the nickname “Kasongo” to refer to Ruto in a thinly veiled jab, Gachagua warned that the President’s allies — including Moses Kuria, William Kabogo, and Mwangi Kiunjuri — are being used to spearhead a wave of new political parties aimed at confusing and dividing Mt Kenya voters.

“Every party they launch is Kasongo’s party,” Gachagua thundered. “This is a trap — we can see it clearly now.

We must stay united.”The former deputy president claimed plans are underway to register even more parties in Murang’a, all backed by State House operatives, in what he described as a “desperate mission” to scatter Mt Kenya’s influence.

“Cash Will Not Cleanse Betrayal”Gachagua didn’t stop there. He claimed Ruto is now dispatching allies loaded with cash in an attempt to buy loyalty in the region.

But he warned residents not to be swayed by money, branding the effort as “political bribery dressed in betrayal.”

“Throwing money around won’t erase what he has done to us,” Gachagua said, vowing to make Ruto a one-term president — no matter the cost.Call to Arms: 2027 Is the Battlefield With fire in his voice and urgency in his tone, Gachagua issued a rallying cry to the youth of Mt Kenya: register, vote, and rise.

He made it clear that the 2027 elections will be a make-or-break moment — not just for Ruto, but for the future of Mt Kenya’s political unity.

“This mountain will not fall,” he said. “We are awake now.”As the political heat turns white-hot, one thing is clear: Mt Kenya is not just a battleground — it’s a volcano, and it’s erupting.
