Ex-Likoni DCIO Ka’galo Arrested for Corruption!

The Ethics and Anti-Corruption Commission (EACC) has detained Charles Onyango Ka’galo, the former DCIO of Likoni, on corruption-related charges.

EACC spokesperson Eric Ngumbi confirmed that Ka’galo was arrested on Tuesday at his home in Oyugis and later transferred to Mombasa, where he is currently held at the Port Police Station.

Ngumbi explained that the arrest is part of the EACC’s ongoing anti-corruption efforts.

“The Commission is ramping up its focus on tackling bribery at service delivery points and will continue to tackle it with the same dedication and energy used in addressing large-scale corruption, acknowledging the severe harm bribery inflicts on the public,” Ngumbi stated.

Ka’galo is expected to be brought before the Mombasa Anti-Corruption Court today.
