Ex-CJ Willy Mutunga Criticizes Ruto and Allies: ‘Lying Takes Intelligence’

Mutunga specifically criticized Sports Cabinet Secretary Kipchumba Murkomen, who asserted that President William Ruto has achieved more in two years than his predecessors, Uhuru Kenyatta and the late Mwai Kibaki, did in their initial two years.

In a statement on Saturday, Mutunga refuted Murkomen’s comments as obsequious, asserting that deception demands a degree of intelligence.

The CJ emeritus questioned how a nation can progress when the leadership is accused of various wrongdoings.

“How can the country progress when the entire leadership is culpable of theft, corruption, squandering, divisive politics, and being beholden to foreign interests?

“Deception demands intelligence, which is absent in these obsequious statements,” Mutunga remarked.
