Evans Kidero Predicts Landslide Re-Election for President Ruto in 2027 – Here’s Why!

Former Nairobi Governor Evans Kidero has expressed confidence that President William Ruto is well-positioned to secure re-election in the 2027 elections.

Speaking during a press briefing on January 13, 2025, Kidero attributed Ruto’s strong prospects to his administration’s notable progress in economic development since assuming office in 2022.

Kidero emphasized that agricultural reforms have been pivotal in driving the country’s economic recovery. He praised initiatives such as fertilizer subsidies, which have significantly boosted agricultural productivity and reduced Kenya’s reliance on imported food.

“President William Ruto’s chances of winning a second term in 2027 are very high. The Kenya Kwanza administration has prioritized agriculture, ensuring farmers access affordable fertilizers and increasing production. For the first time, Kenya has not needed to import maize or other food products,” Kidero remarked.

He added that the economy under Ruto’s leadership has shown substantial growth, and within two years, all Kenyans are likely to feel its positive impact.

Kidero also called on young Kenyans to practice responsibility on social media platforms. While encouraging constructive criticism of the government, he urged the youth to use social media as a tool for income generation rather than spreading negativity.

“Social media offers immense opportunities for young people to create jobs and monetize their content. Instead of attacking leaders online, I encourage our youth to use this platform as a space for innovation and business,” Kidero advised.

In November 2024, Kidero was appointed by President Ruto to chair the Kenya National Trading Corporation (KNTC) for a three-year term, as confirmed in a gazette notice dated November 15, 2024.
