President William Ruto is initiating a significant overhaul among Principal Secretaries, focusing on those appointed by former Deputy President Rigathi Gachagua.
Following the 2022 presidential election victory, Ruto and Gachagua selected Principal Secretaries on an equal basis.
Now that Gachagua is no longer in his position, the President plans to remove certain Principal Secretaries and replace them with associates of former Prime Minister Raila Odinga, along with a few individuals from the newly appointed Deputy President Kithure Kindiki’s region.
“Any Principal Secretaries LINKED to Mr. Rigathi Gachagua and those he brought with him are departing.
The government must operate efficiently, free from internal sabotage. “President William Ruto is entirely correct,” stated pro-government blogger Abuga Makori.“
