Two people killed in a tragic accident in Narok.

Two individuals tragically lost their lives in an accident involving a motorcycle and a lorry in Narok County. The incident occurred on the Dikir-Chebunyo road. A truck collided with a stationary motorcycle.

The collision resulted in the deaths of the rider and the passenger. The area chief reported that the deceased were riding at high speed and singing loudly before the collision. Another rider near the scene sustained minor injuries.

The motorcycle rider and passenger were crushed by the truck, which was transporting an excavator. The accident took place approximately half a kilometer from Dikir town.

Authorities, including the subcounty police chief, Boniface Kavoo, responded to the scene and transported the bodies to the morgue. Chief Chesimet cautioned against drunk driving and speeding among motorcycle riders to prevent such tragic incidents.

In response to the accident, the police chief emphasized the importance of responsible riding practices. He urged motorcyclists to avoid speeding and riding under the influence of alcohol.

The incident serves as a reminder of the dangers linked to reckless driving behaviors. Authorities are working to raise awareness and promote road safety to prevent similar accidents in the future.
