Prior to the 2027 General Election, President William Ruto has made a bold statement by saying that he would deal with his political opponents “asubuhi na mapema” in response to threats from the opposition.
During his address on Saturday, the President said that neither propaganda nor threats would be able to derail his administration’s development plan.
“I’ve been in politics for a long time. And nobody can intimidate me. And to be insulted? Ruto responded to the calls for his resignation and recent opposition rallies by saying, “No, go look for someone else.”
The 10th Annual Dairy Farmers Field Day 2025, Meru ASK Showground, was where he spoke.
In an attempt to disrepute his political opponents, Ruto claimed they lacked a definite plan for the progress of Kenyans.
They are only aware of the slogan, “Ruto must go.” “Your propaganda is nonsense, ooh Kasongo, I don’t know, Ruto must go. These people have no plan for Kenyans,” the President stated.

The President reiterated his administration’s commitment to fulfilling its pledges and unifying the nation.
He stressed that anyone who wants to campaign for 2027 should do so, but that his primary concern is service delivery.
“I have stated that I will welcome anyone who is prepared to work for Kenyans because this government will continue to develop the nation,” he declared.
“However, go campaign if that’s what you want to do. How many technicians are there if we meet them in 2027?
In contrast to previous leaders whom he claimed were all talk and no action, Ruto went on to laud his deputy, Kithure Kindiki, for being focused and comprehending his position.
“I’m fortunate to have a deputy who is aware of and comprehends his duties. He continued, “Not someone who keeps on talking.”
Ruto urged Kenyans to support the government’s development agenda, emphasizing the need for national unity.
We know that unity is strength and division is weakness. For this reason, as the head of this country, I will bring all Kenyans together so that we may move together on our journey,” he said.
President Ruto’s statement comes as the opposition has stepped up its political action.
Ruto said he is not intimidated and reaffirmed that his administration is founded on performance and inclusivity, adding that it is prepared to face the voters once more when the time comes.
His words follow closely to Ruto’s pledge in 2027 that he would not give the current opposition power.
In Kakamega on June 15, he asserted that he could not give over authority to the opposition because it lacked a plan for the nation’s future.
“Don’t bother with these other people (opposition) who have no plan. We will not give power to those who lack a strategy. Ruto stated that their sole strategy is “Ruto must go.”
