Three lives were tragically lost in Embu on Sunday after a vehicle burst into flames following a collision with a roadside workshop.
The accident occurred along the Mutunduri-Kiajokima Road when a Probox car swerved off course, crashing into the structure and triggering a devastating fire. All three occupants perished at the scene, their bodies burned beyond recognition.
The fire quickly spread to nearby structures, exacerbating the destruction. Videos shared online captured the intense blaze as locals struggled to put out the flames. Emergency responders and police have since arrived at the scene, combing through the wreckage to ensure no other victims remain trapped.

This incident came just a day after two separate accidents claimed eight lives on Saturday, December 12. On the Londiani-Muhoroni Road, a bus traveling from Mombasa to Busia lost control at Nukiat, overturning and killing three people, including a child, while injuring 44 others.
Later that evening, four more fatalities were reported in Mutwot along the Kapsabet-Eldoret Road. A speeding 14-seater matatu collided with a school bus, leaving ten others seriously injured and requiring urgent medical care at Mosoriot Health Center. The deceased were transported to the Kapsabet Hospital Mortuary.
