Chaos Erupts in Nyamira County Assembly as Speaker is Ejected

The Nyamira County Assembly was thrown into disarray. Members forcefully ejected Speaker Enock Okero. This occurred during a tumultuous session marked by allegations of misconduct. The incident occurred during a morning assembly meeting. Okero denied Members of the County Assembly (MCAs) the opportunity to speak. This ignited a wave of unrest among the representatives.

As tensions escalated, MCAs decided to take action. They occupied the Speaker’s seat. They also initiated a motion for his suspension. This dramatic turn of events was not an isolated incident. It was a continuation of the political strife that has gripped the assembly. This is especially true after a failed impeachment try against Governor Amos Nyaribo.
