Kapseret MP and close ally of President Ruto, Oscar Sudi, has launched a scathing attack on former Deputy President Rigathi Gachagua, branding him as manipulative, divisive, and a threat to the nation.
Sudi accused Gachagua of double standards and linked him to several major scandals, including the tainted sugar saga, irregular mosquito net procurement at KEMSA, and mismanagement of police salaries.
These allegations align with the corruption, money laundering, and abuse-of-power charges that led to Gachagua’s impeachment.
He further claimed that before the Generation Z protests erupted, Gachagua allegedly tried to extort KSh 10 billion from President Ruto in exchange for his continued loyalty and the unity of the Mount Kenya voting bloc.
Sudi stated that tensions escalated when Ruto refused to comply.
“The economy is struggling, and this man was trying to blackmail the president for billions. Where was that money supposed to come from? Ruto stood his ground, and that’s why Gachagua is now bitter,” Sudi remarked.
He dismissed Gachagua as irrelevant, referring to him as huyu mtu ni mkebe (an empty vessel).
