23-Year-Old Man Brutally Killed Over Wheelbarrow Dispute

The family of 23-year-old Edward Otieno Oyuru is grieving after a tragic incident in which he was brutally attacked and killed following a disagreement over a wheelbarrow. The suspect, identified as Ford Rakwach, allegedly assaulted Edward with crude weapons and fled the scene.

Kisumu East sub-county police chief Edward Masivo confirmed the incident, revealing that authorities are actively searching for the suspect, who vanished from Orongo village after the attack.

According to police reports, Edward had left his wheelbarrow at Rakwach’s home after being hired to assist with construction work. When Edward returned to retrieve it over the weekend for other tasks, the situation escalated. Rakwach reportedly followed him back to his home and launched a violent attack.

Edward suffered severe head injuries during the assault and was rushed to Jaramogi Oginga Odinga Teaching and Referral Hospital (JOOTRH), where he later succumbed to his injuries.
