Tanzanian Parliament Unleashes Scathing Attack on Kenya in Explosive Session.

The Tanzanian Parliament launched a fiery verbal assault on Kenya, with MPs mocking and ridiculing the country in front of national cameras.

This dramatic fallout comes hot on the heels of a controversial deportation of prominent Kenyan figures — including veteran politician Martha Karua and former Chief Justice David Maraga — from Tanzanian soil. The high-stakes parliamentary debate erupted just days after the incident, with Tanzanian leaders offering no apologies — only harsher words.

Leading the charge was Geita MP Joseph Musukuma, who doubled down on the deportations, accusing Kenyans of disrespecting Tanzanian sovereignty and meddling in internal affairs.

“We are an independent nation. We don’t need lectures from anyone — especially not from across the border,” Musukuma declared, his voice echoing through the chamber.

Taking a direct jab, he accused Kenyans of insulting President Samia Suluhu Hassan and dismissed any notion of learning from their neighbors.

“What does Kenya offer us? Nothing. They worship English and call it development. We’re far ahead — politically and intellectually,” he scoffed.

Musukuma warned that activists like Martha Karua and Boniface Mwangi, known voices in Kenya’s Gen Z protest movement, were trying to infiltrate Tanzania with what he labeled as “destructive ideologies.”

“These people have ruined their own nation and now want to export chaos. Let them know — we are ready for them,” he said, igniting applause from some MPs.

But the most controversial remarks came from Iringa Town MP Jesca Msambatavangu, who claimed that Kenya was battling a hidden epidemic — mental health issues.

“There’s a lot of mental instability in Kenya. I was shocked to see someone like Karua board a plane just to confuse us — and her face looked burdened with sorrow,” she said, casting doubt on the sanity of the veteran politician.

She defended Tanzanian security forces for detaining Karua at the airport, arguing they were actually helping a person “in psychological distress.”

“They didn’t arrest her — they restrained her. That’s what you do when someone needs help,” she said.

Msambatavangu painted Tanzanian youth as disciplined, patriotic, and untouched by the “toxic activism” brewing in Kenya.

“We raise our children with values — courage, peace, and ambition. Not hashtags and online insults.”

She concluded her remarks with a bold appeal to President William Ruto to act swiftly and bring stability back to the country.

“Mr. President, please take control. What’s happening there isn’t democracy — it’s disorder. And as neighbors, we’re concerned.”

In a moment that underscored the cultural divide, Msambatavangu criticized a now-viral image from Kenya’s Gen Z protests.

“Imagine protesters giving water to police! In Tanzania, that would never happen,” she said, drawing gasps and laughter from the chamber.

The Tanzanian government had earlier justified the deportations through an official statement published on Wamuzinews.co.ke, stating that the Kenyan delegation lacked the legal clearance to practice law or activism in Tanzania — despite having been invited by the Law Society of East Africa.

The group, which had flown in to observe the high-profile treason trial of opposition leader Tundu Lissu, was detained at Julius Nyerere International Airport before being swiftly expelled.

As diplomatic tensions rise and regional unity comes under strain, all eyes now turn to Nairobi. Will Kenya respond? Or has a new East African cold war just begun?
