Political Showdown: Barasa Slams Morara’s “Jobless Rally” as a Money-Making Scam!

Kimilili MP Didmus Barasa has issued a fiery warning to Kenyan youths, urging them to boycott a highly publicized Jobless Rally at Uhuru Park, set for Monday, March 24.

In a blistering social media post on Wednesday, March 19, Barasa accused Inject Party leader Morara Kebaso of deceiving the public with his rally, claiming that the entire event is a cash grab disguised as a protest.

Barasa alleged that Morara was secretly working with former Deputy President Rigathi Gachagua and businessman Wamunyoro, stating that the politician’s payout increases with the rally’s attendance.

“The more youths show up, the more Morara gets paid. Don’t be fooled—this is nothing but a scam to exploit your struggles!” Barasa warned.

Meanwhile, Morara remains defiant, rallying unemployed youth to gather at Uhuru Park to demand jobs and better living conditions. In a video posted on his X account, he highlighted the harsh realities of joblessness, emphasizing that many young Kenyans can’t afford basic needs or even consider starting families.

“This movement is about demanding real change. If you are jobless, come and make your voice heard. We assemble at 9:00 AM sharp!” Morara declared.

However, despite his bold rallying call, Morara remained silent on Barasa’s damning accusations, leaving many questioning his true motives.

With political tensions rising and allegations flying, Kenyans are left wondering: Is this rally a fight for the unemployed—or a political ploy for profit?
