Pastor Ng’ang’a Explodes at Passaris After Rape Probe Demand: ‘You’re a Child, Know Your Place!’

In a sharp rebuttal, controversial preacher Pastor James Ng’ang’a has lashed out at Nairobi Woman Representative Esther Passaris, accusing her of political grandstanding after she urged investigators to look into a viral video in which he allegedly admits to participating in gang rape.

At a public event on October 9, 2025, Ng’ang’a labelled Passaris “misinformed” and insisted she was meddling in issues she did not comprehend. “Mama mmoja hawa wa siasa anasema Pastor Ng’ang’a sijui nimesema tulirape mwanamke,” he declared, telling her to “mind your business.”

He reminded critics that he has been open about his past, including his prison time, and would not be intimidated. Ng’ang’a claimed that his past incarceration—some 20 years in prison—was already public record. He accused Passaris of trying to stoke drama and use his name for personal gain.

“Wewe ni mtoto mdogo. Tafuta rika yako, don’t try me,” he shot back.

The Spark: Passaris Demands DCI Probe.

The conflict erupted after Passaris publicly demanded the Directorate of Criminal Investigations (DCI) investigate the video, which shows Ng’ang’a claiming he and eight other men raped a woman. She acknowledged the possibility the clip might be manipulated, but insisted that due process was necessary.

Passaris also weighed in on the victim’s plight, demanding transparency regarding what happened to her, whether a child was born from the assault, and how the confession might influence justice.

Escalating Political and Legal Stakes.

This confrontation is more than a clash between a politician and a preacher; it underlines deeper tensions about accountability, religious authority, and media influence:Legal pressure on Ng’ang’a may intensify if Passaris or others push for formal investigations or publishing demands.

Public faith and leadership crisis looms: Followers must choose between loyalty and moral accountability.Political optics matter: Passaris’ insistence on a probe might be used to frame her as a champion of justice or provoke backlash from religious conservatives.
