Oparanya to Ruto: Let Me Work Freely, Don’t Micromanage Me Like Others.

Co-operatives and MSME Cabinet Secretary Wycliffe Oparanya has urged President William Ruto to grant him the autonomy needed to effectively carry out his ministerial duties.

During his homecoming event in Butere, Oparanya expressed gratitude for the significant responsibility entrusted to him, affirming his readiness for the role.

However, he emphasized that his ability to meet Kenyans’ expectations hinges on being allowed to work without interference or micromanagement from Ruto and his administration.

“I am committed to fulfilling my duties. Just give me the space to work. If there’s interference or if I’m held back, I might not be able to deliver.

“But if you grant me the freedom, I will approach you when issues arise.

“When things go well, we move forward,” Oparanya candidly told Ruto, who was also present.

In response, President Ruto assured Oparanya of his support and pledged not to obstruct his efforts.

“I understand your request for the freedom to serve. Let me assure you that you have the space to deliver,” Ruto stated.
