Moses Kuria Joins Uhuru’s Jubilee, Regrets Leaving Former President

Senior State House advisor Moses Kuria has praised former President Uhuru Kenyatta for his willingness to meet and collaborate with President William Ruto.

In a personal statement yesterday, Kuria shared that he is contemplating a return to the Jubilee Party after the meeting between Ruto and Uhuru, which he described as a fruitful effort.

According to the former CS, after careful consideration, he has realized that it was a mistake to leave Jubilee to establish his own Chama Cha Kazi (CCK), indicating that he will persuade Uhuru to take on the role of party leader.

Kuria also mentioned that his desire to return to the party is driven by the need to unify the Mt Kenya region under a single robust political party before the upcoming general elections.

”The Mt Kenya region, similar to all other regions, deserves a powerful political voice. It is our undeniable right. Despite the lessons, both good and bad, we have learned, departing from the Jubilee Party was a misstep. However, it is not too late,” Kuria stated.

”We will now begin the process of uniting all political parties present in the region under the Jubilee Party. We accomplished this in 2016 when we merged parties to create Jubilee.

“We will repeat this. Jubilee, with President Kenyatta as the party leader, is the right path forward. Chama Cha Kazi and I will commit all our efforts to that goal,” he added.

The President’s advisor urged Uhuru, Raila, and Ruto to collaborate and revive the halted Building Bridges Initiative (BBI), which failed following a court decision that rendered it null and void.

As a result, Kuria expressed his gratitude to Ruto and Uhuru for their agreement to come together and cooperate, even as political speculation continues regarding the reasons behind their meeting.
