CS Justin Muturi Remains Defiant Amid Impeachment Threats from Ruto’s Allies

Allies of Deputy President Rigathi Gachagua have come to the defense of Public Service Cabinet Secretary Justin Muturi for his revelations regarding President William Ruto and the ongoing abductions.

This support arises amidst calls for Muturi’s dismissal from Ruto’s supporters, who believe his statements negatively reflect on the government.

In a recent statement, Embakasi North MP James Mwangi Gakuya expressed solidarity with Muturi, asserting that his candid revelations were justified.

Gakuya emphasized that Muturi was prepared for any repercussions following his remarks about his son’s abduction.

He contended that the former Attorney General would not have made such a revealing statement without being ready to face political consequences.

While supporting the beleaguered CS, Gakuya praised Muturi’s courage, encouraging more citizens to follow his example.

The outspoken MP stressed that such revelations could uncover the individuals behind the abductions and contribute to finding a sustainable solution, as the National Police Service distanced themselves from the issue.

“Muturi is prepared for anything. We need to encourage more individuals like him to step forward, as many may possess crucial information but fear to speak out,” Gakuya stated.

“We require more brave individuals like Muturi, particularly as our nation grapples with serious issues while others remain uninformed, including the recent abduction of foreign national Kizza Besigye from Nairobi to Uganda. This suggests a deeper problem exists. “

“I believe Muturi should be allowed to continue his work, and if impeachment is their chosen path, he is ready for that,” he added.

In response to his candid statements linking the National Intelligence Service (NIS) to his son’s disappearance, Muturi has faced calls to resign or prepare for impeachment.

Nonetheless, he asserts that he will not be resigning.
