Ichung’wah Blames Gachagua for Kenyan Abduction

President William Ruto has been cleared of any involvement in the ongoing abductions of Kenyans, particularly the youth, as revealed by National Assembly Majority Leader Kimani Ichung’wah.

During the burial of Moses Wetangula’s mother in Bungoma, Ichung’wah identified former Deputy President Rigathi Gachagua as the main instigator behind the increasing cases of abductions in the country.

These statements followed Gachagua’s public criticism of Ruto regarding the abduction incidents just a week prior.

Ichung’wah, speaking to Trans Nzoia Governor George Natembeyawho also denounced the abductionsaccused him of failing to exercise his authority as Police Regional Commander to reveal those responsible for the abductions.

“Gachagua orchestrated the abductions to shift blame onto President Ruto. “

“Shame on you, Governor Natembeya. “

“You cannot condemn abductions when you were a prominent abductor of Kenyans in the previous administration,” asserted Ichung’wah.

His remarks were made in a fervent response to Natembeya, who had urged for an end to the abductions during his speech to the mourners, prompting a strong rebuttal.

Natembeya faced a frosty reception at the burial, highlighting a clear power struggle with Wetangula, as mourners booed him while he attempted to speak. After several interruptions, he was finally allowed to address the crowd.

“We want an end to the abductions. The youth are using inappropriate language on social media. That must change. If it doesn’t, no one should be killed or abducted because of it,” Natembeya remarked.
