Govt Jobs Available in 5 Universities: How To Apply

In a notice published on November 25, the Public Service Commission (PSC) announced vacancies at the Open University of Kenya, MultiMedia University of Kenya, Kenyatta University, and Meru University of Science and Technology.

At the Open University of Kenya, the PSC posted a vacancy for the position of Vice Chancellor and two positions for Deputy Vice-Chancellor (Academic Affairs and Planning, and Infrastructure).

In MultiMedia University of Kenya, the PSC informed the public of two vacancies for the Deputy Vice-Chancellor positions Academic Affairs, Research and Innovation, and Administration, Finance and Planning.

Kenyatta University and Meru University of Science and Technology also have Deputy Vice-Chancellor vacancies for Administration and Finance, and Administration, Finance and Planning, respectively.

The PSC encouraged interested and qualified individuals to apply and directed them to visit the Commission’s website for details about the positions and application procedures.

The PSC emphasized that applications must be submitted by the deadline of Tuesday, December 17, 2024, by 5:00 pm (East African time).

Additionally, the government has announced 38 job vacancies at the Technical University of Mombasa (TUM). The vacancies are allocated across the university’s teaching and administrative sectors. Teaching vacancies total 18, while administrative vacancies amount to 20.

Of the 18 teaching vacancies, ten are for lecturer positions, four for senior lecturer positions, three for associate professor roles, and one for a tutorial fellow. The job opportunities encompass the fields of communication studies, social and clinical sciences, management science, and hospitality and tourism. Additionally, teaching positions are open in the fields of medical, civil, electrical, and mechanical engineering. The tutorial fellow position is available at the Institute of Maritime and Seafaring.

Administrative job opportunities are open in procurement, office administration, nursing office, ICT office, maintenance, IT support office, and the counselling department.

Interested and qualified candidates for the TUM vacancies are encouraged to submit their applications by Tuesday, December 9, 2024. Applicants have been advised to submit their applications exclusively via the TUM online portal.
