Gachagua’s U-Turn on Raila Odinga.

Deputy President Rigathi Gachagua once portrayed Raila Odinga negatively. He is now praising the former Prime Minister. This marks a significant shift in his stance towards Raila.

Gachagua had earlier criticized Raila, accusing him of holding back the country’s progress with regressive ideas. He had even set up traps to prevent Raila from accessing State House. He claimed that Raila’s involvement in past governments had been detrimental.

Despite his past reservations, Gachagua has now embraced Raila. He commends him as a distinguished statesman. He also supports his candidacy for the African Union Commission chairperson position.

This change in attitude was obvious during a state event. Gachagua publicly endorsed Raila. He emphasized that their differences were rooted in political competition rather than personal animosity.

Gachagua’s newfound support for Raila has been highlighted during President Ruto’s recent tour of Luo Nyanza. This underscores the importance of their alliance in winning over support in Raila’s political stronghold.
