Deputy President Kindiki Issues Stern Warning to School Principals Over Drug and Alcohol Abuse.

Deputy President Kithure Kindiki has issued a stern warning to school principals across Kenya, emphasizing the government’s zero-tolerance policy towards the sale and consumption of alcohol and drugs near educational institutions. Addressing parents, teachers, and students at St. Germaine Gatanga Girls High School in Murang’a County, Kindiki stated that individuals involved in such activities are considered “the greatest enemies of Kenya” and likened them to terrorists in terms of the threat they pose to the nation’s future.

The Deputy President directed national government administration officers to remain vigilant and ensure that no one lures students into substance abuse. He also called on county governments to refrain from licensing liquor outlets near learning institutions to protect children from harmful practices.

Kindiki’s remarks underscore the government’s commitment to providing a conducive learning environment by improving school infrastructure and combating substance abuse among students. He urged parents, teachers, and community leaders to collaborate in safeguarding the well-being of learners and ensuring a bright future for the nation’s youth.
