SHOCKING TWIST: Second Missing Mlolongo Man Found Dead as Police Deny Involvement!

Second Missing Mlolongo Man Found Dead as Mystery Deepens

A second body linked to the mysterious disappearance of four Mlolongo men has been discovered at the Nairobi Funeral Home, formerly City Mortuary, on the evening of Thursday, January 30.

Authorities confirmed that Martin Mwau, who vanished on December 17, 2024, was the latest victim to be found. His body was identified following an investigation into the missing persons case that has gripped Machakos County.

Mwau was among four men—Justus Mutumwa, Karani Mwema, and Stephen Mbisi Kavingu—who went missing between December 16 and 17. Witnesses previously alleged that the men were abducted by masked individuals suspected to be law enforcement officers.

Mwau’s remains, discovered after 44 days, raise further questions about the circumstances of his disappearance. While details about the condition of his body remain undisclosed, an autopsy is expected to provide crucial insights into the cause of death.

Earlier in the day, Justus Mutumwa’s body was also found at the same mortuary. His family reported that he had gone missing on December 16, and his lawyer, Dan Maanzo, revealed that his remains had been recovered from Ruai before being transferred to the mortuary.

Fingerprint verification confirmed Mutumwa’s identity. His family disclosed that his body was taken to the mortuary on December 18—just two days after he vanished—raising questions about why authorities failed to respond to public outcry sooner.

The National Police Service (NPS) has repeatedly distanced itself from the alleged kidnappings, stating that investigations are ongoing.

In court, Inspector General of Police Douglas Kanja and Director of Criminal Investigations (DCI) Mohammed Amin denied any involvement, asserting that none of the missing men were in police custody.

“Your honor, we do not have any of the individuals in question,” Kanja declared.

DCI chief Amin also maintained that the force was actively investigating the matter and would forward findings to the Office of the Director of Public Prosecutions (ODPP) once complete.

With Mwau’s body now recovered, the fate of the remaining two men remains unknown, intensifying pressure on authorities to provide answers amid growing public concern.
