ODM Officials threatens action against Governor Barasa.

Osotsi accused Governor Barasa of failing to comply with directives issued during a National Executive Committee Meeting (NEC) discussing issues plaguing Kakamega County two weeks ago.

Osotsi reminded Barasa and other county officials of the instructions given by the ODM party, including respecting the party leader and reinstating Members of Count Assembly (MCAs) back into their rightful positions.

The directives were to respect ODM party leaders, unite them, and urge them to work together for the party’s good.

Osotsi also reminded MCAs that the party leadership was aware of the conflicts in the county and would intervene until necessary action was taken.

Kakamega MP Elsie Muhanda emphasized the need to address the occurrences in the county soon as it would lead to a divided ODM Party. She warned that if Kakamega continued the way it is, ODM A and ODM B would have citizens, and ODM B would have citizens.

Siaya County Governor James Orengo urged Barasa to respect top Western and ODM leaders like Wycliffe Oparanya, noting that the latter had contributed a lot not only in Kakamega County but also in the whole nation.

He said that anyone who can disrespect Wycliffe Oparanya will be his enemy because he has done very important things in the party and not just in Kakamega but in the whole country.
