Saboti MP Caleb Amisi cautioned Mt. Kenya MPs about underestimating Deputy President Rigathi Gachagua. Amisi warned that if Gachagua is not impeached now, he will send the renegade Mt. Kenya MPs home in 2027.
Amisi criticized the Central MPs caucus for inadvertently making Gachagua popular by featuring him in rallies daily.
He emphasized the need to focus on national issues rather than individual politicians. This approach aims to avoid repeating the scenario that boosted Ruto’s popularity in the region.
Close to 60 MPs from Mt. Kenya and the diaspora endorsed Interior Cabinet Secretary Kithure Kindiki as their leader during a meeting in Nyahururu. They highlighted the importance of establishing a link with the Executive for development matters.
The warning from Amisi follows recent political developments in Kenya. These include the endorsement of Kindiki. There are also ongoing discussions about Gachagua’s impeachment. The political landscape in the country seems to be evolving rapidly, with various factions and interests at play.
