Gov’t Revises Degree Fees for 2024 New University students.

Higher Education Principal Secretary Beatrice Inyangala has announced the revision of the fees to be paid by students joining universities to undertake degree programmes.

In a communique, Inyangala stipulated that the fees previously allocated for the programmes and which were outlined in the invitation letters would not be paid by the students.

She said the new revised fees would be communicated by the respective institutions.

“The Ministry of Education wishes to inform the public, particularly parents/guardians of students, and, students that the fees to be paid by students and their families/guardians as relates to the full cost of each degree programme as previously communicated in the admission letters is hereby nullified, and, does not apply any more,” said Inyangala.

“Beginning the 5th Day of August 2024, the respective universities will communicate the new fees to be paid by each student as a household contribution,” she added.

The PS assured students and their parents/guardians that their placement in the respective academic programmes remained unchanged.
