Gachagua Speaks on Uhuru and Ruto’s Ichaweri Meeting

Former Deputy President Rigathi Gachagua has finally addressed the meeting on Monday between President William Ruto and former President Uhuru Kenyatta.

Ruto, who is experiencing significant opposition in Mt Kenya for removing Gachagua, convened with Uhuru at his Ichaweri residence in Gatundu South Constituency.

Speaking on Wednesday, Gachagua dismissed worries regarding the meeting between President Ruto and former President Uhuru Kenyatta, asserting that leaders are entitled to interact.

He remarked that since his impeachment, he has also been conducting meetings with various political figures.

Regardless of the Ichaweri meeting, the former second in command revealed that he will be making a significant political announcement at the start of next year.

“We cannot dictate who should meet whom. We do not have the authority to control people’s interactions in this world. . .

“In fact, I am urging as many individuals as possible to come together and communicate for the greater good.

“We are also meeting, and there are certain aspects of our discussions that we have mutually agreed to keep confidential.

“Stay tuned for the New Year announcement we are set to make, and you will see that we too have been meeting,” Gachagua stated.
