Government Official Shielding Girlfriend of Ruiru Stabbing Victim – Family Demands Justice for Conrad Nyabuto
The family of Conrad Nyabuto, a young man who tragically lost his life in a vicious stabbing in Ruiru, Kiambu County, is urgently seeking justice. They claim that influential individuals linked to the main suspect are hindering efforts to reveal the truth.
Conrad, the cherished third-born in a family of five, was brutally stabbed 27 times by his girlfriend. In an interview with the media, Andrew Nyabuto, Conrad’s devastated father, recounted the circumstances leading to his son’s death.
He explained that Conrad had gone to visit his girlfriend, Salome Wanjiru, at her home in Kamakis on the night of December 17, 2024, with hopes of resolving their relationship issues. Unfortunately, what was intended as reconciliation ended in tragedy.
Reports indicate that Salome locked the door and fatally attacked her boyfriend before attempting to take her own life. However, she was rescued by police after they entered the premises and was transported to Kenyatta University Referral Hospital. Conrad’s lifeless body was found inside the locked house.
The family is now urging authorities to carry out a comprehensive and unbiased investigation to ensure justice prevails.
“We only seek the truth and accountability for our son’s death,” stated Andrew. He further remarked, “Twenty-seven stab wounds are not self-defense. It is akin to killing a dangerous wild animal. ”
“There are credible reports that powerful figures within the government are attempting to interfere with the investigations. ”
“It has been challenging and will continue to be because there is a void we cannot fill forever. ”
